Here we go...

Sixteen weeks ago we found out that we were expecting.  We've been married for about a year and a half now (July 3rd, 2016) and we're so excited to start this new chapter.

Both Patrick and I have been toying with the idea of creating a blog for a while now.  With the baby coming along soon (and with our mutual dislike of Facebook) we wanted to have a space online where we can celebrate our bundle of joy with family and friends on our own terms.  

Here is a little about us for those of you who may not know us:
We currently live in Chicago in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood.  Soon we will be moving to the suburbs to an old 1880's farm house.  We will share some of our DIY home improvements on here as well!
We are both animal people and have two dogs (Remi and Sadie) and a cat (Mika).

We are avid campers and backpackers and hope to share our love of the outdoors with you and our child.
We might have an obsession with some television shows; The Office, Parks and Rec, Gilmore Girls, Arrested Development, Law and Order SVU...to name a few.  We're major Netflix fans.  No shame.
We're both creative and love making things.  We'll try to share all the things that we make on here as well.

Hopefully as this blog takes shape those of you who don't already know us will see our personalities shine through.
